Flooding by us!

I thought I needed to post these pictures that are of the playground and field right behind the houses across the street from us. It was crazy, it seriously rained staight for 2 or 3 days. Here you can see that it rained about 8 to 10 inches. The water was so close to these houses, it actually was already flooding a storage garage as you can see. I've never seen it rain so much, I guess being from Utah. We see the white stuff a lot more.

It's so crazy, there usually isn't any water in this field. And yet there was a lake. I was thinking that it would have been great if they would have made it a lake to start with. So we could have a lake right across from us to go boating and wakeboarding on. It's been great though having this playground and HUGE field right next to us to go play at without having to pay for the land.

The water as you can see has gone down. We could tell that they planned the field out for when it rained a lot. There is a huge drain that all the water runs into so there isn't flooding. Yet, still a little scary, of course. There is still some little ponds and puddles that Jackson just loves to play in. I don't get it, there's something about little boys playing in puddles. A little water never hurt anyone, I guess!

A little different, don't you think?

cool that you live in Indiana. We moved to the midwest after BYU too, to St. Louis, MO. We lived there for three years but came back for the MBA. We'll be done a year from now and hopefully heading back to the midwest, I loved St. Louis. Great to hear from you!!! Aren't blogs the best? We'll definitely have to keep in touch...who knows where we will end up moving next year.
