JACKSONS 1ST BIRTHDAY!!! YEAH!!!

Jackson is sitting next to his older cousin, Daniel, watching Madagascar.

We went to the temple up in Louisville, Kentucky. We took turns with Kristi(Davids sister) watching each others kids while we each went into the temple. Afterwards we went to Red Robin and had dinner. We had the workers sing happy birthday to Jackson.

They gave Jackson a HUGE sundae that took him totally by surprise, as you can tell. Jackson got pretty hyperactive after eating some of it. We didn't let him eat it all. That would have been a scary sight.

Jackson started telling everyone in the restaurant that he turned one.

It was a lot of fun, we had Kristi, Scott and their boys down for Jacksons 1st birthday. They brought a lot of fun gifts for Jackson.

Jackson really got into unwrapping the presents.

He even started trying on his pants he got from Grandma Shelley. He really seemed to like them.

We also had a Lightning McQueen pinata for the kids to hit.

It was so much fun having Jackson attempt blowing out his candle and digging into his first piece of cake. He loved the feeling of the frosting between his fingers. He really liked the wheels-chocolate donuts, on the cake.

I had a lot of fun making Jacksons Lightning McQueen 1st birthday cake.

Jackson got a little messy as you can tell from eating the cake. It was so funny seeing him dunk his face into the cake and go crazy eating it.

It was a lot of fun coloring these pictures from the movie "CARS" for Jacksons birthday party.
"CARS" was the first movie Jackson "saw," well, first movie he went to.

OUR BIG BOY

Jackson's got such a cute smile. He's got eight teeth now as you can tell. Sometimes they don't make him not so happy.
I ordered some books and this backpack for free from Scholastic. We put the packback on him and he went along with it thinking he was already going to school. Maybe he's ready, but we're not!

We gave Jackson his first hair cut. He was really needing it for his big 1st birthday. This was the BEFORE picture.

After:

His hair got pretty long. This is just some pieces of his hair that we cut off. It wasn't the easiest thing. Good thing I preoccupied him while David took his shaver to his hair. It would have been way too hard to cut it with scissors. Who knows how it would have turned out. We thought he looked pretty cute with his short hair.

JACKSON'S GROWING SO MUCH!!!

Jackson loves to go on the swing.
I just love to bring him to the park he gets so excited as makes an ohhh.... sound as soon as he sees the playground

Jackson's such a stud wearing his hat backwards and all.
He doesn't like to keep it on very long though.

Jackson loves this walker that this family gave us in our ward. He likes to play this game with us by chasing after us with it. We'll move out of his way and he just cracks up. He could go forever doing it too, which wears us out completely.

David grew a beard and Jackson was pretty amused by it. He's been taking advantage of growing it out since he doesn't get to while he's at BYU and works at the MTC.

Here he's at it again.

Here's what's been going on lately...

David and I had our 2 year anniversary this past week. I've been getting into cake decorating and decorated this cake for it.

Jackson and I went swimming at the clubhouse here at our townhouse. He loved it other than that the water was pretty cold, so he took a little while to warm up to it.

David and Jackson are staring out the window, but Jackson tried to sneek a peek back at me to see what I was up to.

Jackson loved going at his corn on the cob during dinner after church in his white dress shirt. We love his smile!

Being out here in Indiana we've been able to experience doing different fun activities. We were able to go to the Reds baseball game with the Phillips(Davids sister and her family) who live in Kentucky. As you can tell, Jackson was so tired at the end of the game.

Jackson and I had a lot of fun playing with drums(pots and pans) one day. He played on them pretty good.

Jackson pulled a funny face when we put the hat on him. He used to always keep hats on, but now he can't handle having them on his head for very long.

David was so sweet and got me a dozen red roses for our anniversary.

Jackson loves playing at the park. He's grown so much in the past while. He isn't a baby any more as you can tell.

Hi everyone!

Hello everyone! We finally created a new blog so that everyone is able to see how we are doing out here in Columbus, Indiana and to see how cute and big Jackson is getting. It's crazy that he's turning 1. He has been such a joy in our lives. We love you all! David, Amber and Jackson Pendleton
